All of you who have children know how taxing the first few months can be for parents. Adding a 3 FullSizeRender (3) year old to mix is a recipe for energy depletion. It has prompted me to take extra care of myself to help with energy.

There are a few things that I use every day

Lemon Essential Oil in my water every day. This keeps my body cleansed and energized every day. print-lemon

En-R-Gee Essential Oil – I use En-R-Gee every day, especially in the afternoon

NingXia Red – What can I say about NingXia Red. You know my obsession with NingXia Red. This is a drink that we have every day. Just 1-2 oz is all that is needed to keep your immune system well, keep energy level up and maintain over all wellness. It is a drink infused with essential oils that is just amazing.

Oils For Everything – Welcoming 2017

You know when they say there is an oil for everything, there is an oil for everything. That includes for the vision you want to create for the upcoming year. Emotional release or transforming oils are a big part of my day to day routine. I, especially love them probably because I am a therapist and see the impact of it on my clients when they use it in my office or when I use it on myself.

A few days ago, my husband and I decided to do something different on our bi-monthly date night. These date nights have been wonderful for our relationship as it gives us time to reevaluate what needs attention in our life. Yesterday, we decided that we needed to do a Vision Board for our life – individually and together. To do that, we started to write down the different categories in our lives that will need attention especially with a new baby coming. Setting a foundation for inviting something different is such IMG_0507 an important piece of growth and development.

So, we started talking about our goals, vision and dreams for our lives in 2017. It was so much fun dreaming together. Ofcourse, we had to start by applying Envision EO, a blend that Young Living makes before we started.

We divided up our life into 6 categories inspired by Oola.  Our categories were Family, Career, Finance, Spirituality, Health and Fun. It is definitely going to be an ongoing process but dreaming together as a couple is such an important aspect of growth.

Don’t they say that dreaming is the first step to achieving your goal. When your vision feels impossible to achieve, that is when you know you are on to something. I love that.

Magnify Your Purpose is a good one to apply on your third eye and brain stem and ask the universe to reveal your purpose in life. Everyone is born with gifts that the world can benefit from. Asking for guidance for something like that is very helpful.

Sole Hope Shoe Cutting Party

I am so excited to be hosting my first ever Sole Hope Shoe Cutting Party on Sunday.  Sole Hope is an organization that caters to preventing foot borne diseases that can be easily prevented by wearing shoes that children don’t often have. It also has major social stigma associated with it making it hard to get help.

I first heard about Sole Hope from Jessica Gianelloni who is the Young Living leader that I signed up under was leading teams to Uganda every year and I would often see her posts about Sole Hope. When I attended my first Young Living convention 2.5 years ago, I heard about this once again as Young Living had decided to partner with Jessica to help support Sole Hope. You have heard me talk about Young Living’s Wellness, Purpose and Abundance often and Purpose is one of the reasons that I got attracted to YL. Projects like these are amazing and it makes it even better when you can participate in doing something.

Life totally got in the way since then and since I was not planning to go to Uganda to help out, it totally got put away until a few weeks ago when I heard about the Sole Hope Shoe Cutting Party.

Being 8 months pregnant, I knew that if I did not start something now, it would be hard to start something like this with a newborn. Hence, decided to host it now.

All it involves is participants showing with old jeans, scissors, and some plastic files. Using a template provided, we all cut pieces of the fabric, attach them with a pin and send it back with an optional donation of $10 per person. This will help them make the finished shoes. It is such a tangible way of giving back which does not involve money.

I am touched and thrilled at the response I have received from the community about this. I am delighted to say that 10 people which was my limit have decided to participate. I will post pictures from the event once it is over.
