Ditch And Switch Spring Cleaning Challenge

I am doing a ‘Spring Cleaning’ Challenge or switch to safer product series for the next three months with my ‘oily group’.  I thought of sharing that here as well.

I am on a mission to de-clutter my home. And, I have been going at it 1/4th corner at a time. So much more doable.

This also gave me the idea of doing the DITCH AND SWITCH SPRING CLEANING CHALLENGE. It can be overwhelming to think about changing household products in your home. This challenge ALLOWS you to do it bit by bit and save money in the process by being on Essential Rewards…..

This challenge should actually be called “Switch to Safer Challenge” as my friend Angela puts it. Because that is what this is – switching over to safer products.

Tea Tree

Tea Tree Essential Oil – It has so many amazing properties.

Every home needs Tea Tree for its cleansing properties…. I add it to my immune booster, my outdoor annoyance free spray in the summer.

I seriously can’t get enough of it !

There are all kinds of great cleaning DIYs you can do with this oil, so do a search on Pintrest for some amazing ideas…..

Also: do you use a neti pot? Breathing never felt so good with a tiny bit of Tea Tree in salt water nasal flushes. 

It’s also great oil for all things skin – from blemish prone skin to a healthy scalp. When I do my hair massage the night before I wash it, I will make a blend with Rosemary, Lavender, Tea Tree, Frankincense, Copaiba, Patchouli – may be all, may be a combo of a few of these. It works really well.

Aromatically it cleanses the air and is super refreshing. Try this diffuser trio out : 4 drops Tea Tree, 4 drops Rosemary and 5 drops Lemon essential oils for a yummy smelling and purifying experience.

Birthday Funk

As long as I can remember, I have loved celebrating everyone’s birthdays.. However, the last few years my PadmaPhoto own birthday has felt hard. Like the day comes and it reminds me of all the things that I have not accomplished or makes me fear that time is running out. At 42, I guess that is bound to happen. So, I have kind of dreaded it.

Anish really wanted to celebrate my  # birthday  this year. I wanted to say ‘no’ but in lieu of setting a good example of loving oneself, I complied  😂 # childrenarethebestteachers

It was hard to constantly remind myself of not giving into the funk over the weekend. What finally helped was a  # gratitude  meditation and taking time to pause and face my funk. Didn’t I tell you that I became a  # therapist  for a reason, seriously, my mind is one of my worst enemies. Also, there is something about getting away, being in nature and time with loving friends that feels like a remedy for everything.

And thanks everyone for the lovely wishes. I have felt so  # loved .
